Union Station and Opus East
Sound Transit's main offices are located in historic Union Station within the International and Pioneer Square districts in Downtown Seattle -- not to be confused with King Street Station, which has the tall clock tower and serves as the Amtrak Rail Station and Sound Transit's Sounder commuter train station. Sound Transit also has offices at the Opus East building 2 blocks from Union Station.
Taking the bus to Sound Transit
Bus routes serving Fourth or Fifth avenues at South Jackson Street and tunnel routes serving the International District tunnel station (shown on the map below) will take you near Sound Transit's Union Station at 401 South Jackson Street. The front entrance is located on South Jackson Street between Fourth and Fifth avenues. Sound Transit Offices at Opus East are located south of Union Station on Fifth Avenue at Weller Street.
Southbound on Interstate 5 to Downtown Seattle
Take the James Street Exit from I-5 as you head south. Continue on Sixth Avenue toward Yesler Way. Make a right on South Jackson Street. The parking garage, with two entrances, is on Fourth Avenue South. To get there you will need to turn left on Fifth Avenue, make a sharp right on Airport Way South, and another right to get onto Fourth Avenue South. See below for more detail on the parking garage.
Northbound on Interstate 5 to Downtown Seattle
Take the Fourth Avenue South Exit. Drive along the feeder lane that brings you to Fourth Avenue S. Make a left onto Fourth Avenue S. The Union Station Parking garage, with two entrances, is on your right. See below for more detail on the parking garage.
Parking garage entrances
There are two entrances to the Union Station Parking garage which stretches three blocks underground along Fourth Avenue S. The south entrance is just north of the Airport Way/Safeco Field exit ramp. The north entrance is closest to Sound Transit's offices in Union Station (this entrance is immediately across from the Weller Street Pedestrian Bridge). To reach Sound Transit offices via the main building entrance, walk north along Fourth Avenue S to the Jackson Street side of the Union Station building.
