Starting in late November, Comcast and Seattle City Light will be burying overhead wires and removing utility poles along E. Denny Ave. Between 10th and Harvard avenues to make way for the light rail station construction. This work will involve sidewalk and traffic lane closures on E. Denny Way and Broadway Ave.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;</description><link>http://www.soundtransit.org/x843.xml</link><creator>Sound Transit</creator><pubDate>Fri Nov 20 15:03:13 PST 2009</pubDate></item><item><title>Sounder M Street-Lakewood Track &amp; Signal Project - Nov 09</title><description>&lt;p&gt;Track demolition and restoration work continues on schedule. The S. 60th St. crossing will close to traffic on November 16, for one week.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Track demolition and restoration work is finishing this week on the segment of track between the S. Union Ave overpass and S. 35th St. and section of work around S. 50th St. This completes work needed during the approved 10 day track outage and rail service will be restored by the end of this week.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Next week, track demolition and restoration work continues on the section of track south of the S. Union Ave overpass and S. 35th St. Also, crews will begin to construct a retaining wall adjacent to the tracks and next to Bradken-Atlas near S. Wilkeson St.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Beginning November 16, track work is expected to begin around the street crossing at S. 60th Street and will close the crossing to vehicles for five days. The crossing should reopen by the end of the week.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Excavation work between Steilacoom Blvd. SW and 108th St is being completed as equipment and crews are available. The installation of new signal crossing gates at S. Pine St and S. 35th St should be completed by the end of next week.&lt;/p&gt;</description><link>http://www.soundtransit.org/x843.xml</link><creator>Sound Transit</creator><pubDate>Fri Nov 6 16:57:13 PST 2009</pubDate></item><item><title>Kirkland Transit Center Construction Update</title><description>&lt;p&gt;Transit Center Construction Set to Start, 3rd Street to Close. Construction is ready to begin on the Kirkland Transit Center project in downtown Kirkland. Bayley Construction has been selected as the contractor for the project and URS Corp will provide construction management services.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Bayley Construction has mobilized on site and a portion of Park Ave has closed to accommodate construction field offices and for construction staging space. 3rd Street between Kirkland Ave and Central Way will close to southbound traffic on November 16. One northbound lane on 3rd St. will remain open to vehicles throughout construction.
