As a regional transit authority, Sound Transit is required to prepare a six-year transit development plan and annual report. This document provides updated information to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) on the development of the various transit components undertaken by Sound Transit - the Central Puget Sound Regional Transit Authority. WSDOT uses these documents to prepare an annual report for the Washington State Legislature summarizing the status of public transportation systems in the state.
Current Documents
The Transit Development Plan 2009-2014 and 2008 Annual Report (PDF 3.0 mb) provides background information on Sound Transit, accomplishments during 2008, and proposed action strategies from 2009 to 2014 to implement Sound Move and Sound Transit 2. A public hearing on the TDP was held on March 26, 2009. The Sound Transit Board approved the plan for submittal to the state at its regular Board meeting on March 26.
