To allow for increased Sounder commuter rail service, Sound Transit is working on improvements to several sections of the rail line between Everett and Lakewood. The work includes new track and signal systems and street crossing improvements to bring tracks up to passenger rail safety standards.
Projects include:
- Seattle-to-Everett Track & Signal Upgrades
- D-to-M Streets Track and Signal Work in Tacoma
- M Street to Lakewood Track and Signal Project in Tacoma/Lakewood
