Tacoma Link strives to make accessibility easy for our riders with special needs, including those traveling in wheelchairs, scooters or with young children in strollers.
Tacoma Link
All cars on Tacoma Link are equipped with a bridge plate to allow for wheelchair or mobility-aid loading. When boarding Link you must request that the ramp be deployed. To do this press the round international accessibility symbol on the outside of the door when the train has come to a complete stop. When you reach your station press the interior international accessibility symbol to request ramp be deployed. Wheelchair areas are located immediately inside the door of all Link trains.
Priority seating
Designated seating is available on Tacoma Link for senior citizens or riders with disabilities. If other passengers are using these seats, the operator will politely ask them to move.
Service animals
Service animals helping persons with disabilities are permitted at all times.
