Video Production Assistant Creative Services Division - Close Date: November 20, 2009
Scope of Position
The Central Puget Sound Regional Transit Authority – Sound Transit – is seeking a Video Production Assistant to work in video production. The position is part of the Creative Services Division in the Department of Communications and External Affairs, and it supports the video needs of the agency and the efforts of the staff video producer which include:
• Production of periodic video news updates and other video products for cablecast, webcast, or other targeted audiences • Background video for local, regional, and national news media television, transit agencies, and other outlets • Videotaping Board and other meetings for cablecast • Chronicling footage of ST events, services, etc as they occur • Corporate and special needs videos • Cable access coordination • Post-Production and editing
Education/Experience: A combination of education and related experience may substitute for education requirements
• AA/AS in Communications – Video/Film Production or diploma from a technical school in radio-television, speech communications, communications, electronic media or a related discipline
• 2-3 years professional experience in analog/digital video production, film, video, motion graphics, animation graphics or television from concept and scripting to shooting, editing, and mastering to tape, disc or streaming video, and video production techniques
• Demonstrated related experience in assisting in the producing of videos for corporate, public information, event promotion, news, public affairs and/or historical use.
• Basic familiarity and a working knowledge and experience in using video, audio, and lighting gear, Final Cut Pro non-linear editing software
