Brooklyn Station

Highlights 

The North Link light rail underground Brooklyn Station is located on Brooklyn Avenue Northeast between Northeast 43rd and Northeast 45th streets in the University District. This station will serve the surrounding residential community, the "Ave" business district, other employment sites and the north University of Washington campus.

Key Features

  • Platform station will be approximately 80 feet below ground
  • Two station entrances: elevators, escalators and stairs will be provided at each entrance
  • Cut and cover station construction includes closing street to traffic and pedestrians on Brooklyn Avenue during construction

Above Ground Facilities 

  • Two entrances with plazas
  • Ticketing machines
  • Covered bicycle storage
  • Two vents (vent at north entrance to be located on the east side of Brooklyn Avenue)
  • Equipment rooms
  • Four emergency staircases

  • Final architectural features
  • Details of pedestrian, bus and bicycle connections
  • Construction schedule and methods

Projected Ridership

2030 Daily boardings: approximately 12,000 at Brooklyn Station
