Want to receive time-sensitive updates via your text messaging enabled cell phone, pager or PDA ? Check the "Wireless Alerts preferred" box next to your e-mail address on the subscription updates page. Then choose from the items on the Quick Subscribe page that have this symbol:

Notice: Sound Transit sends e-mail updates to keep riders and citizens informed. Using text messaging service to receive these updates is one option for customers. Due to inherent problems associated with providing text messaging information, we cannot guarantee absolute accuracy in text messaging. Customers who subscribe to text messaging service, therefore, agree that the use of this service is at the customer's sole risk and expense.
Examples of Possible Problems: Delays may occur between the time that information is posted on our web site and the time an update is sent. In addition, there may be minor delays between the time that the information is sent by Sound Transit and the time that the customer's service provider delivers the information to the customer. There is also the possibility of human error in inputting information.
Possible Charges: Customers may be charged by their service provider for utilizing the text messaging service. Moreover, customers may be unable to receive text messaging in some geographical areas due to the unavailability of service by their service providers. Customers should discuss these issues with their service provider.
