Sound Transit is studying a new route option to connect Tacoma Dome Station to M Street

Sound Transit is moving ahead with plans to extend Sounder service from Tacoma to Lakewood. Construction begins this fall on stations in South Tacoma and Lakewood. Next spring, construction will begin on track improvements between M Street in Tacoma and Lakewood. Currently a feasibility study is underway on a section of track and street crossings in the D to M Street corridor. Join us at our Community Open House and find out about new developments.

Staff will be on hand to seek input and answer questions about:

• The feasibility of a new route option and overpass between Tacoma Dome Station and M Street

• A proposed track overpass at Pacific Avenue that eliminates the at-grade street crossing

• Potential changes to South Tacoma Way and street revisions nearby

• Preliminary air, traffic and noise analysis findings

• Summary results from a design workshop held earlier in the day

Parking is available at the Tacoma Dome Station East garage. Enter from East 25th Street to access the short term 3 hour parking stalls.
