Sounder Commuter Rail Service
• Passed the five million mark in passengers carried since service began in 2000.
• Certified permits for the third Everett-Seattle train to begin running in 2007.
ST Express Regional Bus Service
• Passed the 50 million mark in bus ridership since service began in 1999.
• Started running the new Federal Way-Seattle express bus route.
• Opened the Federal Way Transit Center.

• Opened the Issaquah Highlands Park-and-Ride lot.

Link Light Rail Service
• Completed construction of the SODO and Stadium stations.
• Began tunneling through Beacon Hill.
• Completed road and trackwork for the first Seattle segment.
• Broke ground on the extension of light rail to Sea-Tac Airport.
• Welcomed the first light rail vehicle to the region.
• Released the final environmental study for the extension from downtown Seattle to Northgate.
• The Sound Transit Board approved the extension from downtown Seattle to the University of Washington.
• The federal government approves final design of the extension from downtown Seattle to the UW.
• Tacoma Link carries two million passengers since service began in 2003.

• Completed the Regional Special Needs Transportation Coordination five-year plan.
