Preparing for University Link

The Olive Way off-ramp from northbound I-5 was closed this week and equipment trucked in to prepare below-ground freeway structures that will clear passageways for a future tunnel boring machine. The Olive Way off-ramp will remain closed for about a year. Another shorter-term ramp and lane closure begins next week. The 3.15-mile U-Link light rail extension will run from Downtown Seattle to the University of Washington.
