U-Link Construction

University Link workers are shown here preparing tie-back tendons that provide support to the retaining walls being excavated for the University Link light rail project. As part of the U-Link project, crews this weekend are removing a temporary wall along the shoulder of southbound I-5 next to the Pike-Pine reversible HOV ramp. The Yale Avenue on-ramp to southbound I-5 and the right lane of southbound I-5 between Yale Avenue and Union Street will close from 8 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7 to create a safe work zone. The off-ramp from southbound I-5 to Union St will remain open. The work is expected to be completed in a day.
