1 Line - Northgate – Angle Lake

For 1 Line to Angle Lake get on/off buses at:
Univ of Washington Station - Montlake Blvd NE & NE Pacific Pl – Bay 3
Capitol Hill Station - E John & 10th Ave E
Westlake Station – Pine St & 5th Ave

For 1 Line to Northgate get on/off buses at:
Westlake Station - 3rd Ave & Pine St
Capitol Hill Station - E John St & Broadway Ave E
Univ of Washington Station - Montlake Blvd NE & NE Pacific St – Bay 2
To ride the 1 Line to Northgate:

1. Exit the station and continue on 3rd Ave toward James St.
2. Enter the station using the elevator at 3rd Ave & Yesler Way.
3. Take the elevator at the South Mezzanine down to the Angle Lake platform.
4. Go to the opposite end of the platform toward Exit A.
5. Take the elevator up to the North Mezzanine.
6. Cross the North Mezzanine.
7. Take the elevator down to the Northgate platform.

To ride the 1 Line to Angle Lake:

1. Exit the station and continue on 3rd Ave toward James St.
2. Enter the station using the elevator at 3rd Ave & Yesler Way.
3. Take the elevator at the South Mezzanine down to the Angle Lake platform

To exit the station:

1. Go to the opposite end of the platform toward Exit A.
2. Take the elevator up to the South Mezzanine.
3. Cross the South Mezzanine.
4. Take the elevator down to the Angle Lake platform.
5. Go to the opposite end of the platform toward Exit C.
6. Take the elevator up to the North Mezzanine.
7. Take the elevator at Exit C (3rd Ave & Yesler Way) up to the street.
The Northgate Garage elevators will be temporarily out of service for scheduled maintenance from Monday, February 5 to Monday, July 1. Each elevator will be out of service for up to 5 hours each day, at different times from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. to resolve a water issue.

Please use the alternate elevator when the other is out of service and plan for extra time to navigate the garage.

Please contact a security officer at 206-398-5268 if assistance is needed while at the garage.

To ride the 1 Line:

1. Continue on Brooklyn Ave NE toward NE 45th St.
2. Enter the station and take the elevator down to the platform.

To exit the station:

1. Go to the opposite end of the platform toward Exit A.
2. Take the elevator up to the street.
The University Street elevators serving the north mezzanine to the Benaroya Hall lobby, near Exit A2, will have reduced hours for public use beginning Tuesday, January 2, 2024. The elevators will be available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, except holidays.

On certain weekends and evenings, the Benaroya Hall Boeing Gallery will offer access to University Street Station from 2.5 hours prior to any public event through its conclusion. See the Seattle Symphony’s calendar of Benaroya Hall events for dates and times of public events.

The elevators will be in service at the specified times. Please use alternate elevators when these elevators are not in service.
A train will run every 15 - 20 minutes between SeaTac/Airport Station and Angle Lake Station. All passengers who need to continue to the Angle Lake Station must transfer at SeaTac/Airport Station using the Northgate platform to continue towards Angle Lake.

An alternative option for passengers would be taking KCM RapidRIde A line, which runs every 10 minutes and serves Angle Lake, SeaTac/Airport, and Tukwila International Blvd stations. Link passengers who opt to take the A Line will need to pay for this fare during the single tracking operations.

Please note the travel times between SeaTac/Airport Station and Angle Lake Station will remain the same on the May 27 holiday.

Sign installation at Westlake Station is scheduled from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., Monday to Friday, 3/18 until 05/17 and is expected to have minimal impact on how passengers navigate the station platform. This schedule may be subject to change and updates will be provided when available.
During this period there will be no service between Angle Lake and SeaTac/Airport Stations. These closures will be :

- Sunday, May 12 from start of service until 12 p.m.
- Saturday, June 1, from start of service through Sunday, June 2 until 10 a.m.
- Saturday, June 22 from start of service through end of service

During full Link closures between Angle Lake and Seatac/Airport Stations, Sound Transit will not operate a traditional “Link bus shuttle”. Instead Sound Transit will direct passengers to KCM RapidRide A Line. Link passengers who must transfer to the A Line will not need to pay fare during full closures of Link between Angle Lake and Seatac/Airport Stations.

Passenger must take the A line to travel to between Angle Lake and Seatac/Airport Stations and then transfer to the 1 Line to continue northbound.

Capitol Hill Station scheduled installation: 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., 5/8 until 5/29.

There should be minimal impact on how a passenger navigates through the station platform and entry to the station.

Pioneer Square Station scheduled installation: 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., 4/29 until 7/05.

There should be minimal impact on how a passenger navigates through the station platform and entry to the station.

University Washington Station scheduled installation: 8 a.m. - 4 p.m., 4/8 until 6/14.

For service to Northgate via downtown Seattle, from Seattle -Tacoma International Airport:

On weekdays and Saturday, the last train to Northgate Station with service through downtown Seattle departs SeaTac/Airport Station at about 11:58 p.m. All remaining trains will terminate at Beacon Hill Station.

On Sunday’s, the last train to Northgate Station with service through downtown Seattle departs SeaTac/Airport Station at about 11:13 p.m. All remaining trains will terminate at Beacon Hill Station.

Passengers are recommended to exit at Mount Baker Station and use the following King County Metro Routes to travel towards Northgate Station:

• Passengers requiring service to downtown Seattle, please take King County Metro Route 7.

• Passengers requiring service to Capitol Hill Station, please take King County Metro Route 7 to 3rd Avenue and Pike Street, then transfer to King County Metro Route 49 at Pike Street and 4th Avenue.

• Passengers requiring service to University of Washington and U District stations, please use King County Metro Route 48.

• Passengers requiring service to Roosevelt and Northgate stations, please use King County Metro Route 48 and transfer to King County Metro Route 67.
Several parking stalls at Northgate Station Garage are closed off until further notice due to water intrusion issues. These stalls will be closed off until water intrusion issues are resolved to minimize vehicle damage.
