Nightly closure of 5th Ave NE and northbound I-5 on-ramp
Starting Wednesday, March 13, Sound Transit will close 5th Ave NE between NE 145th St and NE 148th St for striping realignment. This road closure will also affect the northbound I-5 on-ramp from NE 145th St. This work is part of the Lynnwood Link Extension.
What

5th Ave NE between NE 145th St and NE 148th St will be closed, along with the northbound I-5 on-ramp from NE 145th St. Detour routes are in place for drivers (see map).

Crews will work at night to minimize effects on traffic.

Residents should expect construction noise from heavy equipment such as light plants, a vac truck, an excavator, an air compressor/blower, a street sweeper, paint carts, trucks and trailers, and various hand tools.

If the work is delayed, additional closures will be scheduled and a new flyer will be provided to residents.
