The scheduled maintenance is to reconstruct the steps between the southeast corner at the Shoreline North/185th Station garage and passenger drop-off/pick-up area along 8th Ave NE. After the work’s completion in early January, the public can access these stairs.

Direct pedestrian access between the passenger drop-off/pick-up are and the plaza near the corner of 8th Ave NE and NE 185th St will be temporarily closed. New Variable Messaging Signs will be installed at the Tukwila Sounder Station beginning Wednesday, Dec 11 through Dec 13. This work will take place from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. on weekdays.

Installation of this equipment is needed to provide real-time train arrival information made possible through Sound Transit’s new Passenger Information Management System (PIMS). Information displayed on signs at the stations may not be viewable during installation and testing. There should be minimal impact on how a passenger navigates through the platform.

Sumner parking closure starts Feb. 19 to make room for garage construction. 190 stalls to be closed.

On Monday, Feb. 19, Sound Transit's contractor will close approximately 190 parking stalls at Sumner Station, to make room for garage construction. We expect the closure to last about two years. At least 110 stalls will always be available, including the 68 stalls in the lot north of Maple Street.
The work will be done in phases. During Phase 1, which may last several months, approximately 40 stalls will remain open in the station’s southwest triangle lot. This includes ADA stalls, motorcycle stalls and pick-up and drop-off stalls will be in this area. (There are also pick-up and drop-off spaces on Traffic Avenue.) During Phase 1, Narrow Street will be closed to through traffic at Maple Ave, and Academy Street will be closed to through traffic at Cherry Street.
We recommend passengers make alternate plans for getting to a Sounder station as detailed in earlier alerts, including driving to Puyallup Station, Bonney Lake Park-and-Ride Lot, walking or bicycling, or applying for a carpool permit. South Bellevue Station expansion joint cover replacement project will take place from Monday, December 2 until Tuesday, December 17. This work will take place from 7:00 AM until 5:00 PM daily.

Beginning 7 a.m. Monday, December 2 through 5 p.m. Tuesday, December 17, Sound Transit will be replacing expansion joint covers on the South Bellevue Station. This work entails closure of one elevator and stairwell at a time, beginning with the elevator and stairwell at the north end of the platform (Exit A). Once the expansion joints are replaced at the north end of the platform, the work will proceed to the south end of the platform (Exit B).
During the work hours, passengers should use the elevator or stairwell at the other end of the station. The work will occur from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. After 5 p.m. until 7 a.m. the following morning, the elevator and stairwell will be restored to service OR will remain closed.

The elevators at Symphony Station serving the north mezzanine to the Benaroya Hall lobby, near Exit A2, service hours for public use beginning Monday, November 18, 2024 are:
3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, except holidays.
The elevators are in service at these specified times. Please use alternate elevators when these elevators are not in service.
On certain weekends and evenings, the Benaroya Hall Boeing Gallery will offer access to Symphony Station from 2.5 hours prior to any public event through its conclusion. See the Seattle Symphony’s calendar of Benaroya Hall events for dates and times of public events.
