As Sound Transit contractors continue making good prgress to extend the future 2 Link into downtown Redmond, big changes are coming for drivers accessing westbound State Route 520.
Beginning on April 15, 2022, crews will be closing the on-ramp to westbound 520 from Redmond Way for 4 months in order to build a new freeway on-ramp.
This work is happening so that crews can raise the westbound SR 520 on-ramp over the future light rail line that will travel at ground level, underneath the on-ramp.
Here is the detour route for drivers accessing 520 from Redmond Way.

The Downtown Redmond Link Extension adds two new light rail stations in 2024 in southeast Redmond - serving Marymoor Village near Marymoor Park - and in the downtown residential and retail core.
These two stations open a year after completion of East Link to Redmond Technology Station, opening in 2023.
