How to ride

2 Line basics

  1. An ORCA card is the easiest way to pay and only way to transfer between buses and trains.
  2. Fares are $2.25-2.50 depending on how far you travel. Reduced fares are available, youth ride free.
  3. Trains will run every 10 mins, 5:30am to 9:30pm, 7 days a week.
  4. Plan your trip and see great bus connections.
  5. Subscribe to rider alerts.
Safety tips

Stay safe around tracks and trains

Keep these rules in mind to stay safe:

  1. Look both ways. Trains come from both directions, so always expect a second train!    
  2. Take crosswalks, not shortcuts. Pay attention to crossing signals.    
  3. Headphones off, screens down. Stay alert to be safe. 
  4. Stay behind the yellow line on the station platform.
  5. When riding a bike, cross tracks at a 90-degree angle to prevent getting stuck.

2 Line Map

Redmond Technology: Whether you’re behind the wheel or on two wheels, you’ll find parking for 300 cars and 100 bikes. And a bike/pedestrian bridge designed and funded by Microsoft will get you across SR 520 and on to new adventures. Overlake Village: State of the art. When you arrive at this station you will be greeted by a collection of colorful, organically-shaped concrete sculptures created by the artist, Yuki Nakamura. Belred: Your creative side is calling. Discover the hidden gems of the BelRed Arts District. And, if you’re starting from this station, 300 parking spaces are available for transit riders. Spring District: All your connections, all in one place. Whether you're coming or going, the Spring District is easily accessible by transit to shop, dine, live or work. Wilburton: Happy trails to you. The Northup Connector is now open between Eastrail and the 520 trail! So bike, run or walk to your heart’s content. Bellevue Downtown: Getting around on light rail is easy, it's less than 15 mins from here to Redmond Technology Station. All day, every day. East Main: Hungry for adventure? Or maybe you’re just hungry. The good news is, there are tons of great places to eat, just a few blocks away from this station. South Bellevue: Just a short walk away is Enatai Beach Park. A hidden gem where you can swim, fish, rent kayaks and paddle boards, or chill out and soak up the sun.

This beloved public art piece is back—refreshed, reimagined, and ready to welcome riders when the station opens. We only caught the first hand going up… so you’ll have to visit the finished station to catch the full greeting. Hi-Five will be visible from the platform, plaza, and surrounding streets. reel icon Trains are everywhere in Redmond as pre-revenue testing is in full swing! On May 10, the 2 Line will grow by 3.4 miles and two new stations with the opening of Downtown Redmond Link. The extension includes stations at Marymoor Village and Downtown Redmond, which will become the permanent 2 Line terminus on the Eastside.  Leading up to opening day, the final phase of testing has started.
