Public Hearing on West Seattle Ballard Link Extensions Draft Environmental Impact Statement, Downtown
The West Seattle and Ballard Link Extensions will provide fast, reliable light rail connections to dense residential and job centers throughout the region and add a new downtown Seattle light rail tunnel to add more capacity for the entire regional system.
Join us for the project’s Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) comment period to share your input on route and station alternatives Sound Transit is considering. Your feedback will be shared with the Sound Transit Board of Directors before they confirm or modify the preferred alternative. The Board will select the project to be built after the Final EIS is published, which is expected in 2023.
Learn more about the project in Downtown at an upcoming online meeting. You will have the opportunity to learn about the project, get questions answered, and provide a verbal comment on the Draft EIS. Each online meeting will include a brief presentation, Q&A session, and oral testimony captured by a court reporter.
The Draft EIS comment period concludes on April 28, 2022.
Our event in Downtown is on March 22, 2022 at 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Save the date!
Registration in advance is not required. We plan to have live closed captioning at each meeting. You can also contact us at wsblink@soundtransit.org or 206-903-7229 to let us know about your accessibility needs in advance.
