Sound Transit to host public meeting about new North Sammamish Park-and-Ride
Public invited to view and comment on potential sites for a new park-and-ride to improve transit access for Sammamish residents
Sound Transit will hold an open house on July 11 about a planned park-and-ride in the northern end of the City of Sammamish that will connect to local and regional transit options. This new park-and-ride will provide up to 200 parking spaces, and will be open in 2024.
- Thursday, July 11, from 6-8 p.m. at Sammamish City Hall, 801 228th Ave. SE, Sammamish; presentation at 6:30 p.m.
The park-and-ride lot will be built within the Sound Transit district, along the 228th Avenue NE/Sahalee Way Northeast transit corridor, north of Southeast 8th Street. Sound Transit will determine the exact location of this facility in partnership with the City of Sammamish and King County Metro.
Members of the public can learn about proposed park-and-ride locations and Sound Transit's process and schedule for selecting a site; provide feedback, and talk to Sound Transit staff.
