Sounder trains available for Mariners vs. Baltimore Orioles

Seattle sports fans can save on travel time, parking and gas by taking Sound Transit’s popular Sounder trains to this Sunday’s Mariners game. Special Sounder service is in addition to Link light rail, ST Express and King County Metro service to and from T-Mobile Park.

The special service will be available Sunday, August 13 for the 1:10 p.m. Mariners game against the Baltimore Orioles.

From the south, the inbound Sounder S Line game train departs Lakewood at 10:11 a.m. The train will stop at all Sounder S Line stations and arrives at King Street Station at 11:27 a.m.

From the north, the inbound N Line game train from Snohomish County departs Everett at 10:45 a.m. with stops in Mukilteo and Edmonds, arriving at King Street Station at 11:44 a.m.

Both return trains depart 35 minutes after the conclusion of the game.

As a reminder, due to necessary track work at South Royal Brougham Way, on August 12 and 13 light rail service will be suspended between the Capitol Hill and SODO stations. Bus shuttles will run between the stations every 10 minutes. Trains will run every 15 minutes between Northgate and Capitol Hill stations and between SODO and Angle Lake stations. Passengers planning to use light rail should plan for extra travel time and be prepared for crowding on shuttle buses. A list of other transit options is available here.

Regular fares apply for all Sound Transit services. Rail riders can avoid post-game ticket vending machine lines by purchasing a Day Pass at their originating station. One-way tickets and Day Passes can also be purchased with the Transit GO Ticket app.

Another way to skip lines at ticket vending machines is by getting an ORCA card. Cards only cost $3 for adults, plus whatever amount a rider chooses to load in the card’s E-purse or the cost of a pass that is good for unlimited transit trips.

ORCA LIFT fares are available for low-income adult passengers. Regional Reduced Fare permit holders are seniors age 65+ and riders with disabilities.

A few additional reminders for a smoother trip:

• Riders using an ORCA card should remember to tap on and off at Sounder and Link stations.
• Parking is available at all Sounder stations, as well as Angle Lake, Tukwila International Boulevard and Northgate Link light rail stations.
