236th Street SW nighttime closures

Over several weeks in June, Sound Transit’s contractor will work at night at 236th St. SW and the NB I-5 off-ramp to continue to build the elevated trackway. Detours will be provided (see map). The contractor has obtained a Temporary Noise Variance to complete this work.

Moderate construction and engine noise at night to work on the elevated trackway.
When
Nighttime closures and detours will be in effect from 11:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m.
- Monday, June 14 – Thursday, June 17
- Monday, June 21 – Thursday, June 24
- Monday, June 28 – Thursday, July 1

- 236th St. SW – Eastbound closed; I-5 NB off-ramp to 236th St SW – ramp closed (see map).
- 236th St. SW – Westbound closed; vehicles must turn left on 56th Ave W, right onto 244th St. W and continue on to I-5.
