8th Ave closure between NE 189th and NE 185th Street for utility work

As early as Monday, March 17, Sound Transit will be closing 8th Ave between NE 189th and NE 185th Street for utility work. 

What

  • The closure will be in two phases:
    • Phase 1: Work zone will be West of NE 189th Street to 8th Ave. 
    • Phase 2: Work zone will be on 8th Ave from NE 189th Street down to NE 185th street.

When

  • Monday, March 17 to Friday, March 25.
  • Typical work hours are 7:00a.m. to 5:00p.m.

  • 8th Ave between NE 189th and NE 185th Street
  • West of NE 189th to 8th Ave.

  • Neighbors should expect construction noises. 
  • Roads will be open to local access only. 
  • Access to driveway will be maintained.
