Lane closures at NE 174th Street to 2nd Ave NE

On Monday, Aug. 17th, Sound Transit will be closing one lane on Northeast 174th Street to 2nd Avenue Northeast. The closure will be utilize for underground utility work. This closure will take place between the work hours of 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

What

  • Crews will close one lane at Northeast 174th Street to 2nd Avenue Northeast to work on underground utility installation.
  • Local access to driveways will be maintained at all time.
  • Flaggers will be on-site during work hours to assist drivers to and from their driveway.
  • Work consists of heavy equipment which residents should expect construction noises.
  • Crews will cover shafts with non-skid plates and provide warning signage during construction off hours.

When

  • Work will occur Monday, Aug. 17th.
  • Work will last for a week and a half.
  • Lane closure will be closed during the work hours from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Roads will remain open outside of work hours with non-skid plates in place.
