Night closures at 1st Avenue Northeast and Northgate Way intersection

As early as Monday, Nov. 9th, Sound Transit will be closing the 1st Avenue Northeast and Northgate Way intersection. The night time closure will be utilized for cross bracing work for the light rail construction. This closure will take place between the work hours of 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.
What
- Roads will be closed for crews to complete cross bracing work for the light rail construction.
- Northgate Way on-ramp to Northbound I-5 will be closed.
- Suggested detour route is located on 1st Avenue Northeast (see map).
- Work consists of heavy equipment and residents can expect noise from construction.
- Full closures will occur during work hours and re-open during non-work hours.
When
- Monday night, Nov. 9th to Thursday night, Nov. 12th.
- There will be no work from Friday, Nov. 13th to Sunday Nov., 15th.
- Work will resume Monday night, Nov. 16th to Wednesday, Nov. 18th.
- Night construction work hours are from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- Roads will remain open outside of work hours.

- 1st Avenue and Northgate Way intersection.
- Northgate Way on-ramp to Northbound I-5.
- Access will be maintained for local residents.
