Nighttime off-ramp and on-ramp closures from Northgate Way to NE 130th Street

As early as Monday, Aug. 31st, Sound Transit will close multiple off-ramps and on-ramps from Northgate Way to Northeast 130 Street during nighttime work hours. These closures will be utilized for girder delivery and girder work for the Lynnwood Link Extension light rail project.

What

  • The Northgate Way on-ramp to northbound I-5 will be closed.
  • The Northeast 107th on-ramp to northbound I-5 will be closed.
  • The Northeast 130th off-ramp on northbound I-5 will be closed.
  • Both right lanes will be closed from Northgate Way to Northeast 130th on northbound I-5.
  • Work involves heavy equipment and typical noise and vibration from construction.
  • Detour signs will be in place for drivers to re-route. 

When

  • As early as Monday night, Aug. 31st to Tuesday morning, Sept. 1st.
  • Work hours are from 10 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.

Where

  • On-ramps and off-ramps from Northgate Way to Northeast 130th Street.
  • Detour at Northeast 145th and 5th Avenue to northbound I-5.
  • Right lane closures at northbound I-5 from Northgate Way to Northeast 130th Street.
