Road closure on north end of 30th Ave S and lane closure on Kent Des Moines Road

Sound Transit’s contractor will clear trees in preparation for future work on the bridge over Kent Des Moines Road.  This work will require a full closure of the north end of 30th Ave S as well as the right lane of Kent Des Moines Road.

Starting as early as Feb 5 until Feb 22*

Intersection of 30th Ave S and Kent Des Moines Road in Kent.

  • Work will occur from 7 a.m.- 4 p.m., Mon-Fri * (road will remain closed after work hours and on weekends)
  • Excavator and other heavy equipment will be used
  • A safe and secure work site
  • All project construction work is done under stringent COVID-19 health and safety guidelines
