Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO)
Sound Transit has a strong commitment to the community we serve and our employees. As an equal opportunity employer, we strive to have a workforce that reflects our diverse community. No person is unlawfully excluded from employment opportunities based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex (including gender identity, sexual orientation, and pregnancy), age, genetic information, disability, veteran status, or other protected class.
Equity and Inclusion
Equity Steering Committee
Established in October 2018, the Sound Transit Equity Steering Committee is an internal body responsible for ensuring continuing progress toward an inclusive and equitable agency. The Committee sets strategy, provides guidance and ensures integration of equity principles throughout Sound Transit.
Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)
ERGs are employee-led communities centered around shared identities and experiences. These groups provide an outlet for cultural awareness, talent development, community engagement, education, and leadership acumen.
