Service changes

Sound Transit's Spring service change will begin on Saturday, March 29. Several ST Express bus routes and the 1 Line will have schedule adjustments to improve reliability. ST Express routes 574, 577, 578, and 586 will move to serve the new Federal Way Downtown Station bus loop. ST Express 580 will resume service between Puyallup Station and the South Hill Park-and-Ride.

New Federal Way Downtown Station bus loop

The new Federal Way Downtown Station bus loop will open on March 30. The bus bay assignments are listed below.

The Federal Way Transit Center closes March 30 and the new Downtown Station Bus Loop will have new bus bay locations.

522Woodinville – RooseveltThe first trip to Roosevelt on weekdays and Saturdays will begin at UW Bothell / Cascadia College instead of Woodinville Park-and-Ride to better connect with the 1 Line at Roosevelt Station.
532Everett – Bellevue

590Tacoma – SeattleRestored routing for select trips in Tacoma to 10th & Commerce and added 22 weekday trips. Schedule adjustments to improve reliability.
594Lakewood – SeattleThree weekday trips and 10 Sunday trips were added. Schedule adjustments to improve reliability.

The 2 Line will begin service to downtown Redmond. Trains will arrive every 10 minutes, serving two new stations: 

  • Downtown Redmond
  • Marymoor Village
