June is Pride Month, and we are so excited to partner with the Sound Transit Pride Employee Resource Group to share some of the events happening around the region.
Seattle Pride Art Walk
When: June 6
How to get there: Link 1 Line, Pioneer Square Station
Cost: Free
The Pride in Seattle: 50th Anniversary Art Exhibit aims to highlight queer experiences through multiple lenses. This collection of art gives the LGBTQIA2S+ community a platform of self-expression where their talents and creativity are recognized and celebrated. All ages are welcome.
Pride Across the Bridge QTPOC Collective
When: June 9
How to get there: Link 2 Line, South Bellevue Station + Route 545
Cost: Free
Eastside folx! Pride Across the Bridge has lots of events near you. One of our favorites is the QTPOC Collective for queer and trans neighbors of color to connect. All ages are welcome, and masks are encouraged to keep our community safe.
Seattle Pridefest - Capitol Hill
When: June 29
How to get there: Link 1 Line, Capitol Hill Station
Cost: Free
We love Seattle Pridefest. Spanning six blocks of Broadway and Cal Anderson Park, this event will feature local businesses, beer gardens, family, and youth programming and three stages of entertainment.
Seattle Pride Parade
When: June 30
How to get there: Link 1 Line, University Street + Westlake Stations
Cost: Free
Seattle’s 50th annual Pride Month celebration will close out with the annual Seattle Pride Parade on Sunday, June 30 in Westlake Park along 4th Avenue. Celebrate the 250+ local and national community groups, nonprofits, and companies at Washington’s largest parade.
Tacoma Pride Festival
When: July 13
How to get there: T Line, St Joseph Station
Cost: Free
Want to keep the Pride celebrations going? Visit the Tacoma Pride Festival on July 13 honoring the LGBTQIA2S+ community in the South Puget Sound region. Tacoma Pride Festival is an annual community event hosted by Rainbow Center and has grown from a single day celebration to a series of events throughout the entire month of July.
