If you're an ORCA LIFT passenger, Regional Reduced Fare Permit holder or between the ages of 6 and 18, your Sounder fare could be going down in 2021.
Sound Transit is considering reducing fares for these riders to make Sounder more accessible, and to simplify our fares system wide by bringing Sounder fares in line with those of Link light rail and ST Express buses.
ORCA LIFT fares are for low-income adult passengers. Regional Reduced Fare permit holders are seniors age 65+ and riders with disabilities.
Current fares* | Proposed fare | |
ORCA LIFT | $2.50-$4.25 | $1.50 |
Youth (ages 6-18) | $2.50-$4.25 | $1.50 |
Senior/Disabled (RRFP) | $1.50-$2.75 | $1.00 |
*Depending on distance traveled
No changes are proposed to regular adult fares on Sounder.
