- For two months, stations will feature portraits of people who live, work and play around the new segment and stories special to the T Line and Tacoma. Stop at each station to see them all.
- Grab a commemorative art map of Tacoma, located on board each train. A limited quantity of those super cool maps are available, so get one early!
- At Tollefson Plaza, Wright Park and Tacoma Urban Performing Arts Center you’ll find large installations perfect for capturing your next selfie. Be sure to tag #hellotacoma for a chance to be featured on Sound Transit’s Instagram page.
- Look for a QR code on each new station to participate in the Discover. Scan. Win. scavenger hunt. It’ll direct you to the park installations and local businesses to scan more QR codes and enter to win tons of great Tacoma centric prizes. Learn how to participate.
On Saturday, Sept. 16 passengers are in for special treats!
At 10 a.m., the community is invited to a ribbon-cutting event. Located at the Tacoma Urban Performing Arts Center (TUPAC) - 1105 M.L.K. Jr Way, Tacoma, WA 98405 - attendees will see a performance by TUPAC Dancers and the NW Sinfonietta and hear speeches from community leaders.
From 11 a.m. - 5 p.m., entertaining tour guides will be on all trains to interact with riders and point out fun facts along the T Line route.
