Open House for West Seattle Ballard Link Extension Draft Environmental Impact Statement
The West Seattle and Ballard Link Extensions will provide fast, reliable light rail connections to dense residential and job centers throughout the region and add a new downtown Seattle light rail tunnel to add more capacity for the entire regional system.
Join us for the project’s Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) comment period to share your input on route and station alternatives Sound Transit is considering. Your feedback will be shared with the Sound Transit Board of Directors before they confirm or modify the preferred alternative. The Board will select the project to be built after the Final EIS is published, which is expected in 2023.
Learn more about the project at an upcoming in-person drop-in open house at Union Station*. You will have the opportunity to learn about the project, get questions answered, and provide a verbal or written comment on the Draft EIS. This meeting will include a chance to talk with project staff and provide oral testimony captured by a court reporter. This meeting is intended to provide assistance for those who may need more support or prefer to not engage online.
The Draft EIS comment period concludes on April 28, 2022.
Our event at the International District/Chinatown Station Plaza* (S King Street & 5th Avenue S) is on March 17, 2022 from 12 pm to 6 pm. Save the date!
