Construction-related entrance closures at Capitol Hill Station
Sound Transit will temporarily close some station entrances to allow for work to improve lighting, enhance passenger safety and security
Publish Date
Sound Transit will be strategically closing entrances to Capitol Hill Station on Saturday, April 5, and Sunday, April 6, for construction work. These closures will impact the north and west entrances to the station, but will not occur at the same time. The entrance on Nagle Place, closest to Cal Anderson Park, will remain open to the public for the entire weekend.
These entrance closures are necessary to allow for the installation of improved station lighting, which will enhance brightness and improve passenger safety and security. Metal barriers will close off the entrances, elevators, and escalators impacted by construction, ensuring a safe and speedy project delivery. The project will not impact 1 line service, which will operate as scheduled.
