​​​​​​​Overnight closures on SR 516 for Federal Way Link construction

Crews working on the Federal Way Link Extension will close State Route 516, also known as Kent/Des Moines Road, from Interstate 5 to State Route 99 for bridge deck construction. 

The road will be fully closed on February 28 at 10 p.m. to March 1 at 5 a.m. Eastbound lanes will be closed March 1 at 10 p.m. to March 2 at 5 a.m. Westbound lanes will be closed March 2 at 10 p.m. to March 3 at 5 a.m.

Commuters needing to access State Route 99 from Interstate 5 will need to take Military Road to South 272nd Street to detour around the closure. Crews will endeavor to reduce noise, but cranes, trucks and other heavy equipment will be used for this work.
