Sound Transit to host public meeting about construction of East Link in BelRed near the Bel-Red / 130th Station
Public invited to meet Sound Transit's contractor and learn about light rail construction activities
Sound Transit will hold an open house next week in Bellevue about the segment of the East Link that runs between 124th Avenue Northeast and Northeast 20th Street. East Link is scheduled to open in 2023.
- Tuesday, June 13, from 5-7 p.m. at Highland Community Center, 14224 Bel-Red Rd., Bellevue
This segment of the East Link alignment includes the Bel-Red/130th station, located between 130th and 132nd avenues NE. The at-grade station will be adjacent to a City of Bellevue-led transit oriented development project that will incorporate bicycle parking and a 300 park-and-ride stalls for transit use.
Members of the public are invited to learn about early construction work, including utility relocation and demolition; maintenance of traffic, especially on 136th Pl. NE and NE Spring Blvd.; construction timeline and activities; and how to stay informed during construction. Sound Transit project staff and representatives from Sound Transit's contractor, Max J. Kuney, will be available to answer questions.
