148th Avenue NE nighttime road and ramp closure this week

Work over traffic
The contractor building the East Link light rail extension in the Overlake neighborhood will close 148th Avenue NE at SR 520 Wednesday and Thursday night, Sept. 19 - 20. Crews will be using cranes to install precast concrete panels on the future light rail guideway over the road. Flaggers will help pedestrians through when they consider the path safe.

Street closure schedule

  • Wednesday, Sept. 19 - 148th Avenue NE at SR 520 will be closed from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 20.
  • Thursday, Sept. 20 – 148th Avenue NE at SR 520 will be closed from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Friday, Sept. 21.
  • The 148th Avenue NE closure is part of ongoing work that includes regular SR 520 on- and off- ramp closures. Drivers should follow the signed detour routes.
