80th Avenue HOV I-90 on-ramp closure

Sound Transit's contractor will close the 80th Avenue Eastbound HOV I-90 on-ramp to shift barriers to prepare for Mercer Island station construction. This closure is planned for 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Monday, Aug. 21. See below for more information.

Here's what you can expect:

  • 80th Avenue eastbound HOV I-90 on-ramp be will closed between 9 p.m. and 1 a.m. daily on Monday Aug. 21.
  • Please use the Island Crest Way and East Mercer Way eastbound on-ramps during this closure.
  • Crews will move existing barriers to prepare the center roadway for construction. While the ramp is closed, crews will shift the concrete barrier to prepare for station construction.
  • Crews will work in the existing right of way with traffic control in place. Please follow signed detours and flaggers to safely access your destination.
