Board identifies additional route and station options for further study

Publish Date

Last week, the Sound Transit Board of Directors reviewed public feedback on the potential alternatives in initial assessment and identified two to include in the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). In addition to the preferred alternatives and other alternatives that were identified in May, the Draft EIS will include the Yancy/Andover Elevated option in West Seattle and the Partial Elevated (refinement) option in SODO.

This action by the Board reflects five months of public engagement, including presentations to local community organizations, online surveys, sharing information door-to-door and visits to local festivals this summer.

Thanks to everyone who got involved and provided input. In the coming weeks, we’ll share updated maps and materials on the project website
