Nightly Island Crest Way westbound HOV ramp closures

Beginning as early as Monday, Aug. 28 until Monday, Sept. 11, the Island Crest Way westbound HOV on-ramp will close nightly between 9.p.m. and 5 a.m. Sound Transit's contractor will use these closures to relocate traffic information system cabinets to prepare for Mercer Island station construction. See below for more information.
Here's what you can expect:
- Island Crest Way westbound HOV on-ramp will be closed between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. daily from Monday, Aug. 28 until Monday, Sept. 11.
- Please use the 76th Avenue and West Mercer Way westbound on-ramps during this closure.
- Crews will relocate existing traffic information system cabinets within the tunnel. Pick-up trucks will be used and back-up alarms will be minimized to prevent noise.
- Crews will work in the existing right of way with traffic control in place. Please follow signed detours and flaggers to safely access your destination.
