Overnight construction near International District/Chinatown Station
Beginning as early as Monday, March 15th, overnight construction will be taking place near International District/Chinatown Station (IDS). Crews will be working between 1 a.m. – 4 a.m. for 5 consecutive nights. This work brings the East Link Project one step closer to connecting the new East Link Line with the existing central line and opening the East Link extension in 2023.
Nearby neighbors may notice occasional, short periods of noise from the worksite during these periods. Since the majority of work will take place under the lid of the station, we anticipate disturbances to the neighborhood to be minimal. The primary sources of noise will come from the entrances and exits for International District/Chinatown Station.
