Westbound SR 520 closure at NE 40th Street in Redmond Saturday night, May 16
Saturday night, May 16, construction crews working to build light rail from Seattle to Redmond will lift a steel truss pedestrian bridge segment into place over westbound SR 520 between 148th Avenue NE and NE 40th Street. A detour will be in place on local streets. Eastbound SR 520 will be reduced to one lane during this work.
The pedestrian bridge will connect the future Overlake Village Station to the SR 520 trail.
When
Crews will begin closing lanes at 9 p.m. Saturday, May 16 and will have all lanes open by 7 a.m. Sunday, May 17.

What to expect
In addition to the total closure of westbound SR 520, crews will stage cranes and equipment in all but one eastbound lane. Eastbound drivers can expect minor delays while equipment is moved into place.
