Beginning 7 a.m. Monday, December 2 through 5 p.m. Saturday, December 28, Sound Transit will be replacing expansion joint covers on the South Bellevue Station. This work entails closure of one elevator and stairwell at a time, beginning with the elevator and stairwell at the north end of the platform (Exit A). Once the expansion joints are replaced at the north end of the platform, the work will proceed to the south end of the platform (Exit B).
During the work hours, passengers should use the elevator or stairwell at the other end of the station. The work will occur from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. After 5 p.m. until 7 a.m. the following morning, the elevator and stairwell will be restored to service OR will remain closed.
Both elevators are stairwells are expected to be restored to service by 5 p.m. December 28.
