Upcoming: December 2024 disruption
From Dec. 7 through the end of service on Dec. 8, Sound Transit will conduct essential repair work that will affect 1 Line service along the alignment.
See below for an expectation of 1 Line service levels and actions passengers traveling may have to take during this time, including a map of the disruption:
- The 1 Line will operate in three segments. Passengers must transfer to a different train between each segment if they wish to travel through the 1 Line alignment:
- Lynnwood–U District: trains arrive approximately every 22 minutes.
- U District–Capitol Hill: trains arrive approximately every 22 minutes.
- Capitol Hill–Angle Lake: trains arrive approximately every 15 minutes.
- Supplemental shuttle buses will also run between U District and Capitol Hill stations every 10-15 minutes, stopping at U District, University of Washington, and Capitol Hill Stations. You can find shuttle bus stop locations here.
- To minimize delay, we recommend passengers take the shuttle bus if wanting to travel to or through Capitol Hill Station from the north.
- Trains will share one track at Roosevelt, U District, and University of Washington stations. Check train signage to ensure boarding the correct train at these stations.
- Passengers traveling between Northgate, Roosevelt, U District, and the University of Washington Stations and Capitol Hill or Downtown may want to take alternate routes to bypass transfer points and connect with Link at Capitol Hill or Westlake stations if heading further south.
