Overview

The Stride S2 Line will connect communities along I-405 and I-5 from Bellevue to Lynnwood. Like all Stride lines, buses on the S2 Line will run every 10 to 15 minutes, 17+ hours per day. The S2 Line will connect to Link light rail stations at Lynnwood City Center and Bellevue Transit Center and provide seamless transfers to transit services provided by Sound Transit, Community Transit, and King County Metro. The program includes seven Stride stations, one of which — the Totem Lake/Kingsgate station in Kirkland — will add parking in 2035.

As part of the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) I-405 Master Plan, the S2 Line will benefit from improvements to the highway for faster travel. In partnership with WSDOT, we aim to improve community safety, transit access, and the travel experience within the I-405 corridor. WSDOT is slated to design and construct several Stride stations as part of this master plan.

The Stride S1 and S2 fleet will consist of double-decker battery-electric buses, as shown in the graphic below.
