Shoreline South/148th Station will have scheduled maintenance Monday, April 28 until Wednesday, April 30. The work will take place from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily.
In effect: April 28-30
Routes: 1 Line
Handrails for the public stairwells will be extended at both the top and bottom. This will be completed in two phases without impact to service.
Phase 1: The north stairwell will be closed. South stairs, escalators and elevators will remain open.
Phase 2: The south stairwell will be closed. North stairs, escalators and elevators will remain open.
At least one set of stairs will always remain open. Escalators and elevators will remain open and operational during both phases. Please be aware dates and times are subject to change.

Construction activity is resuming April 28 and continues until May 30 at the new Pinehurst Station.

Construction work is taking place at the new Pinehurst Station. Trains will share one track through the Shoreline South/148th Station requiring passengers to use the alternate side of the platform during construction hours. Work will take place evenings, Monday through Friday, from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m., and all day on Saturday and Sunday. Trains will arrive about every 12 minutes beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Phase 1: March 24 through April 13 - Complete
Phase 2: April 28 through May 30 - Trains will be using the Angle Lake platform.
During the weekend of May 2-4 there will be construction in the area but it will not require the trains to share one track.
No work will be done May 17-18, and during the Memorial Day weekend of May 24-26

Sound Transit is conducting pre-revenue service in anticipation of the 2 Line extension to Downtown Redmond opening May 10.

Passengers are required to exit trains at Redmond Technology Station to allow train operators to continue to the Downtown Redmond Station. Redmond Technology Station will continue to be the terminus station of the 2 Line until the extension to Downtown Redmond is completed and service officially begins around noon on May 10. During this time, station ETA’s may be unavailable. Trains will follow the scheduled arrival frequency of every 10 minutes.
Sound Transit will be testing trains with two cars to help validate the 2 Line system design.

SeaTac Airport Station 2nd pedestrian bridge elevator construction begins January 8, 2025.
In effect: Jan. 8, 3:00 a.m.
Routes: 1 Line
Beginning January 8, 2025, through 2026, construction will take place at SeaTac Airport Station to add a new elevator to the pedestrian bridge. The new elevator will provide an additional option for passengers to travel from the pedestrian bridge to the pickup/drop off parking lot adjacent to the station. During construction, passengers can expect pedestrian walkways to occasionally be blocked or narrowed, and access to the current elevator periodically interrupted.
During times where pedestrian walkways are blocked and elevator access is unavailable, passengers may catch the Rapid Ride A Line bus from SeaTac Airport Station to Tukwila International Boulevard Station in order to use the 1 Line.
The pedestrian bridge from the station to the airport will be unaffected and available throughout the duration of this project.
Beginning February 10, 2025 half of the passenger pick up/drop off area will be closed, as will some parts of the plaza near the stairs and existing elevator as equipment begins to come in for construction of the new elevator.
Additional information about changes in elevator accessibility will be provided as it comes available.
