Link Shuttle Buses are replacing the 1 Line from Friday, February 14 at 10 p.m. until end of service Sunday, February 16.

For several weekends in January and February, 1 Line service will be interrupted at some of the Downtown Seattle Transit Tunnel stations to allow for the completion of tie-in work that will connect the 1 Line and 2 Lines as well as work to repair overhead power at the UW Station. Link Shuttle Buses will provide service between stations during these service interruptions.

Feb. 14-16: Beginning 10 p.m. on Feb. 14, shuttle buses will replace 1 Line service between Capitol Hill and SODO stations, running every 10-15 minutes. From January 4th through February 27th construction activity is occurring near the Shoreline South Station nightly from 5:30 p.m. until the end of service causing delays in train arrival times.

Construction work is occurring at the NE 130th St Infill Station requiring trains to operate on a single track through Shoreline South 148th station for the duration of construction. This will occur every evening from 5:30 p.m. until the end of light rail service Monday through Friday, as well as all day on Saturday and Sunday. During weekend work, trains will arrive about every 12 to 15 minutes as opposed to every 10.
Please pay attention to station announcements and signage at Shoreline South 148th Station to determine where to board trains.

Beginning January 17, Sound Transit will be conducting operator qualifications from Redmond Technology Station to Downtown Redmond Station for 2 Line extension training.

Passengers will be required to exit trains at Redmond Technology Station to allow train operators to continue to Downtown Redmond Station. Redmond Technology Station will continue to be the terminus station for the 2 Line until this portion of the 2 Line extension is completed later this year. Elevator replacements will take place at International District/Chinatown Station Exit A, beginning Tuesday, October 29 until Friday, February 28.

Beginning Oct. 29 and continuing through Feb. 28, 2025, Sound Transit will replace and modernize both elevators at the north end of International District/Chinatown Station (entrance/exit A). During this time, all passengers needing elevator access at this station should plan to use the elevators that serve entrance/exit B, located at the south end of the station (closest to S King Street).
This work is part of a multi-year project to modernize the elevators and escalators throughout the four downtown Seattle Link stations: International District/Chinatown, Pioneer Square, University Street, and Westlake stations. These upgrades aim to enhance the reliability of the stations’ facilities.

SeaTac Airport Station elevator construction beginning January 2025

Beginning on January 8 2025, through the beginning of 2026 there will be ongoing construction activity at SeaTac Airport Station while a new elevator is added. The new elevator will provide an alternative option to reach the pedestrian bridge from the pickup/drop off parking lot across from the station. During this time passengers can expect pedestrian walkways to occasionally be blocked or narrowed, as well as elevator access periodically being unavailable.
During times where pedestrian walkways are blocked and elevator access are unavailable, passengers may catch the Rapid Ride A Line bus from SeaTac Airport station to Tukwila International Boulevard station in order to use the 1 Line.
The pedestrian walkway from the station to the airport will be unaffected and available throughout the duration of this project.
Beginning on February 10, half of the passenger pick up/drop off area will be closed, as well as some parts of the plaza near the stairs and existing elevator as equipment begins to come in for construction of the new elevator.

Symphony Station - Elevator 504 unavailable until further notice. The elevator serving the Angle Lake platform and the South Mezzanine near Exit C is out of service.

1. Cross the South Mezzanine and take the elevator down to the Lynnwood platform.

Sound Transit will have crews out in the field working to clear snow and ice from our facilities. Be prepared in case your facility has not been cleared by the time you arrive.
