Link Shuttle Buses are replacing the 1 Line between Capitol Hill and SODO stations for two additional weekends: Feb. 23 and Feb. 28 - Mar. 2

Routes: 1 Line
For two additional weekends, 1 Line service will be interrupted between Capitol Hill and SODO stations to allow for the completion of tie-in work that will connect the 1 Line and 2 Lines. Link Shuttle Buses will provide service between stations during these service interruptions.
Feb. 23: Shuttle buses will replace 1 Line service between Capitol Hill and SODO stations, running every 10-15 minutes. Trains will operate between Lynnwood–Capitol Hill and SODO–Angle Lake every 15 minutes. Trains will share one track at Shoreline South/148th Station.

From January 4th through February 27th construction activity is occurring near the Shoreline South Station nightly from 5:30 p.m. until the end of service causing delays in train arrival times.
In effect: Jan. 4 - Feb. 28
Routes: 1 Line
Construction work is occurring at the NE 130th St Infill Station requiring trains to operate on a single track through Shoreline South 148th station for the duration of construction. This will occur every evening from 5:30 p.m. until the end of light rail service Monday through Friday, as well as all day on Saturday and Sunday. During weekend work, trains will arrive about every 12 to 15 minutes as opposed to every 10.
Please pay attention to station announcements and signage at Shoreline South 148th Station to determine where to board trains.

From Tuesday, February 18 to Friday, February 28, Sound Transit will install gutters on the platform canopy at Bellevue Downtown Station near the four staircase entrances.
In effect: Feb. 18-28

Work will begin at 8 a.m. and end at 3 p.m. each day. Access to elevators and the platform will not be impacted by this work.
We will fence off the work area with cane-detectable delineation. This zone will shift from one stairwell to the next with the completion of each area of the canopy.

Beginning January 17, Sound Transit will be conducting operator qualifications from Redmond Technology Station to Downtown Redmond Station for 2 Line extension training.
In effect: Jan. 17, 12:30 p.m.
Routes: 2 Line
Passengers will be required to exit trains at Redmond Technology Station to allow train operators to continue to Downtown Redmond Station. Redmond Technology Station will continue to be the terminus station for the 2 Line until this portion of the 2 Line extension is completed later this year. During this time, station ETA’s may be unavailable to allow for operator training. Trains will follow the scheduled arrival frequency of every 10 minutes.

Beginning Oct. 29 and continuing through Feb. 28, 2025, Sound Transit will replace and modernize both elevators at the north end of International District/Chinatown Station (entrance/exit A). During this time, all passengers needing elevator access at this station should plan to use the elevators that serve entrance/exit B, located at the south end of the station (closest to S King Street).
This work is part of a multi-year project to modernize the elevators and escalators throughout the four downtown Seattle Link stations: International District/Chinatown, Pioneer Square, University Street, and Westlake stations. SeaTac Airport Station elevator construction beginning January 2025
In effect: Jan. 8, 3:00 a.m.

Beginning on January 8 2025, through the beginning of 2026 there will be ongoing construction activity at SeaTac Airport Station while a new elevator is added. The new elevator will provide an alternative option to reach the pedestrian bridge from the pickup/drop off parking lot across from the station. During this time passengers can expect pedestrian walkways to occasionally be blocked or narrowed, as well as elevator access periodically being unavailable.
During times where pedestrian walkways are blocked and elevator access are unavailable, passengers may catch the Rapid Ride A Line bus from SeaTac Airport station to Tukwila International Boulevard station in order to use the 1 Line.
The pedestrian walkway from the station to the airport will be unaffected and available throughout the duration of this project.
Beginning on February 10, half of the passenger pick up/drop off area will be closed, as well as some parts of the plaza near the stairs and existing elevator as equipment begins to come in for construction of the new elevator.

1. Take the elevator up to the Angle Lake platform.
2. Take the 1 Line to SeaTac/Airport Station.
3. At SeaTac/Airport Station, board the 1 Line toward Lynnwood.
Passengers requiring elevator service CANNOT exit from the Lynnwood platform.
To exit the station from Tukwila Int'l Blvd Station:
1. From the Lynnwood platform, board the 1 Line.
2. Take the 1 Line to Rainier Beach Station.
3. At Rainier Beach Station, board the 1 Line toward Angle Lake.
4. Exit the 1 Line at Tukwila Int'l Blvd Station.
5. Riders can exit Tukwila Int'l Blvd Station using the Angle Lake platform elevator.

To ride the 1 Line:
1. Cross Montlake Blvd NE using the crosswalk at NE Pacific Pl.
2. Turn right at Husky Stadium and continue toward the pedestrian bridge.
3. Enter University of Washington Station.
4. Take the in-service elevator down to the platform.
To exit the station:
1. Follow the pedestrian bridge back toward the station.
2. Take the elevator from the pedestrian bridge down to the street.
3. To cross Montlake Blvd NE, use the crosswalk at Montlake Blvd NE & NE Pacific Pl.
