On Dec. 7-8, we will reduce 1 Line service as crews repair overhead power systems near the University of Washington Station.
In effect: Dec. 7-9
Routes: 1 Line
- Lynnwood–U District: about every 22 minutes
- U District–Capitol Hill: about every 22 minutes
- Capitol Hill–Angle Lake: about every 15 minutes
Passengers are encouraged to plan for up to an hour of additional travel time or seek alternate transportation options.
Supplemental shuttle buses will run every 10-15 minutes between U District, University of Washington, and Capitol Hill stations to help with crowding.
Trains will share one track at Roosevelt, U District, and University of Washington stations. Check train signage to ensure boarding the correct train.

Beginning 8 p.m. on Monday, Dec 2 until Monday, Dec 23, Sound Transit will be upgrading elements of the lighting and wiring at Lynnwood City Center Station.

The ramp on the south side of the entrance will be closed (stairs on south side and ramp on north side of entrance to remain open).
Phase 2: Dec 4-5

Phase 3: Dec 5-6
The ramp on the north side of the entrance/148th will be closed (ramp and stairs on south side of entrance remain open).
Work will be done sequentially, so there is always one ramp at the entrance open. The accessible path on the south side of the garage will remain open.
The maintenance is weather dependent, dates and times are subject to change.
Northgate Station Garage Partial Parking Closure

New Variable Messaging Signs will be installed at all S Line stations beginning Monday, Dec 2 through Monday, Dec 30. This work will take place from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. on weekdays.

Sumner parking closure starts Feb. 19 to make room for garage construction. 190 stalls to be closed.

The work will be done in phases. During Phase 1, which may last several months, approximately 40 stalls will remain open in the station’s southwest triangle lot. This includes ADA stalls, motorcycle stalls and pick-up and drop-off stalls will be in this area. (There are also pick-up and drop-off spaces on Traffic Avenue.) During Phase 1, Narrow Street will be closed to through traffic at Maple Ave, and Academy Street will be closed to through traffic at Cherry Street.
We recommend passengers make alternate plans for getting to a Sounder station as detailed in earlier alerts, including driving to Puyallup Station, Bonney Lake Park-and-Ride Lot, walking or bicycling, or applying for a carpool permit. One new option for east Sumner residents to get to the station is the City's Commuter Connector residential loop shuttle that travels between East Sumner and the station.

South Bellevue Station expansion joint cover replacement project will take place from Monday, December 2 until Tuesday, December 17. This work will take place from 7:00 AM until 5:00 PM daily.

During the work hours, passengers should use the elevator or stairwell at the other end of the station. The work will occur from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. After 5 p.m. until 7 a.m. the following morning, the elevator and stairwell will be restored to service OR will remain closed.
