Beginning Oct. 29 and continuing through Feb. 28, 2025, Sound Transit will replace and modernize both elevators at the north end of International District/Chinatown Station (entrance/exit A). During this time, all passengers needing elevator access at this station should plan to use the elevators that serve entrance/exit B, located at the south end of the station (closest to S King Street).

On Monday, Feb. 19, Sound Transit's contractor will close approximately 190 parking stalls at Sumner Station, to make room for garage construction. We expect the closure to last about two years. At least 110 stalls will always be available, including the 68 stalls in the lot north of Maple Street.
The work will be done in phases. During Phase 1, which may last several months, approximately 40 stalls will remain open in the station’s southwest triangle lot. This includes ADA stalls, motorcycle stalls and pick-up and drop-off stalls will be in this area. (There are also pick-up and drop-off spaces on Traffic Avenue.) Sumner parking closure starts Feb. 19 to make room for garage construction. 190 stalls to be closed.

On Monday, Feb. 19, Sound Transit's contractor will close approximately 190 parking stalls at Sumner Station, to make room for garage construction. We expect the closure to last about two years. At least 110 stalls will always be available, including the 68 stalls in the lot north of Maple Street.
The work will be done in phases. During Phase 1, which may last several months, approximately 40 stalls will remain open in the station’s southwest triangle lot. This includes ADA stalls, motorcycle stalls and pick-up and drop-off stalls will be in this area. (There are also pick-up and drop-off spaces on Traffic Avenue.) During Phase 1, Narrow Street will be closed to through traffic at Maple Ave, and Academy Street will be closed to through traffic at Cherry Street.
We recommend passengers make alternate plans for getting to a Sounder station as detailed in earlier alerts, including driving to Puyallup Station, Bonney Lake Park-and-Ride Lot, walking or bicycling, or applying for a carpool permit. To exit the station from the Angle Lake platform:
1. Board the 1 Line.
2. Exit the 1 Line at SeaTac/Airport Station.
3. Go to the King County Metro bus stop at International Blvd & S 176th St.
4. Take northbound RapidRide A Line to Tukwila International Blvd
Station.
To ride the 1 Line:
1. Go to Bus Bay 1.
2. Take King County Metro southbound RapidRide A Line to International Blvd & S 176th St for SeaTac/Airport Station.
3. Take the elevator near Bus Bay 1 up to the pedestrian bridge to enter the station.
To exit the station from the Northgate platform:

Beginning 7 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 18, until approximately 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22, Sound Transit will be installing new ropes in U-District elevator serving the south end of the platform and Exit A (Brooklyn Ave & 45th St).
During this time, passengers should use the elevator that serves the north end of the platform and Exit B (43rd St & Brooklyn Ave).

1. Go to the King County Metro bus stop at NE 10th St & 116th Ave NE.
2. Take the 226 bus towards the Bellevue Transit Center.
3. Exit at Bellevue Transit Center and cross 110th Ave NE.
4. Enter the Downtown Bellevue Station and take the elevator down to the platform to board the 2 Line.
Passengers requiring elevator service CANNOT exit Wilburton Station.
To exit the station:
1. From the platform, board the 2 Line toward South Bellevue. Take the 2 Line to Downtown Bellevue Station.
2. At Downtown Bellevue Station, exit the station.
3. Cross 110th Ave NE and enter the Bellevue Transit Center.
4. Take the B Line bus towards Redmond Technology Center.
